Description
This artwork was inspired initially by watching James Cordon's Carpool Karaoke programme when he accompanied Paul McCartney revisiting his roots in Liverpool, but also through my own lifetime of listening to his work with The Beatles, with Wings and his solo projects.
In creating a work such as this, which references some of his most revered songs, albums and lyrics, it is impossible for obvious reasons to include everybody elses favourites in one artwork. This is a personal tribute but I hope others find it appealing and relevant too.
But please contact me if you would like something added, as I have left spaces where additional content could possibly be integrated.
This does include digitally cut out pieces from the original cardboard cutout insert that came with my own (treasured) original copy of Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club album. For me this adds a personal touch that takes me right back to my formative years listening as a young boy to The Beatles and which also I hope adds some added value.
It also references his early years in Liverpool and his time in the Mull of Kintyre in Scotland.
The main portrait is based upon an original phot by Raph-Ph, a brilliant events and concerts photoghrapher.

And a ps too: Thanks to Keenan Neighbors for encouraging me to watch this particular Carpool Karaoke show - that somehow I conspired to miss the first time around! Lots of laughs, memories. nostalgia and some tears too. Its a brilliant show.
