Description
The Corrida Goyesca is held annually in Ronda. It culminates at the Plaza de Toros bullring close to the famous tajo and the Puente Nuevo bridge which spans the gorge.
It is a time when the local people remember their traditions and customs including honoring famous bullfighters of the past - Pedro Romero and Antonio Ordonez to name but two legends of the past..
Both Earnest Hemingway and Orson Welles were linked via their fascination and passion for both Ronda and the bullfighting traditions.
The picture shows a beautiful local senorita dressed in traditional costume. On the wall is a poster advertising the forthcoming events. A moment captured of quiet anticipation and reflection before the proceedings begin.
